Miami Dade Animal Services (“MDAS”) is an important part of animal welfare in our community and a community resource for pets and people who love then. Offering various services to County residents, MDAS’s mission is to “save the lives of abandoned animals in our care, protect animals from cruelty, reunite lost pets with their owners, protect people and pets in our community from health related issues and ensure the public’s safety.” MDAS is one of FoMA’s primary focus organizations for financial and other support through engaging volunteers and providing resources to help ensure that homeless pets find homes and improve their quality of life while at the miami animal shelter and to help put an end to overpopulation of unwanted pets.
