Kittens For Adoption
Kittens for adoption in Miami are always available. As much effort is being made with TNR of community cats, we still have a major cat overpopulation issue and so there are always kittens for adoption available.

FOMA continues to work with Miami Dade Animal Services and other groups to support efforts to match kittens to adoptive prospects. When adopting through MDAS, all kittens under four months of age come with their first set of vaccines, de worming, spay/neuter, microchip and FeLV test. Kittens over four months come equipped with everything listed plus heartworm test and rabies vaccine. If you own a cat, it’s very important to spay/neuter your cat and to keep kitty indoors, as there an estimated 400,000 cats living on the streets countywide. Cats reproduce at an alarming rate and one un-spayed female can produce 36 new kitties in as little as 16 months after the initial litter is born. TNR is important with the idea to trap stray cats, bring them into a facility like MDAS to have them sterilized, vaccinated, ear tipped and returned to their community. It is through efforts like the TNR program and adoption that we can work to see the homeless cat population decrease and ensure these beautiful creatures live healthy and safe lives in a forever home. Don’t shop, adopt!
